I find myself in a strange place with regard to Palace at the moment. Back in December it was like you had been promised a night out with a couple of the latest bond girls come May but the close you get you can see that in reality it was actually Jo Brand. Nothing against Palace supporting Jo Brand of course, just well...anyway. Strangely I find this whole Palace in free fall (copyright chico) quite reassuring. Our boards are in meltdown with threads with titles such as "The Geordies were right" ostensibly a critique of Pardew but in reality the ravings of a 14 year old who needs to get out more and support Chelsea.
I haven't actually bothered to read the thread , it could continue as " - the moon is made of cream cheese" or " you can get five beans for your cow at market" but to be honest I treat their ravings as seriously as the Liberal Democrats pledge to abolish University tuition fees.
Nonetheless, if it means that the sizeable minority that on the evening of December 19 2015 following our win at Stoke and our 5th place in the table thought we were nailed on for a trip to the Bernabeu "Do One" I shall be delighted.
We are now the stumbling buffoons that the majority of us have come to love over the years, I have no expectations, (other than things may get worse), only hope..and course it is that which kills you.
I think we may get beat today, unless Pardiola can out think Klopp (see, hoping again) but I have little confidence at the moment and am dreading Friday nights trip to Reading in the Cup.
If you can begin to think about football after yesterday, we shall as ever, av a right go, and...you never know...(damn.)
