Where is all this heading? I can totally understand the NFL ultimately expanding to a London-based franchise as a part of the league, then probably elsewhere in Europe and Asia. It's a relatively small sport that wants a larger global footprint. It's a goood idea in theory.

But what about European football leagues expanding globally? Isn't that just a cash-grab? Asia has its own long-established leagues and the US has the MLS. What's the end game here? Premier League 'franchises' overseas? That doesn't make much sense. It's just a marketing gimmick and money-making exercise, right?

It's all a load of bollocks. All framed as giving our American audience a chance at experiencing a competitive game in their own country, in reality it's another cash grab for money hungry corrupt little rats with micro cocks.

As a fan of the NFL team most touted to be the future London "franchise" (there's that word), I'm invested in believing that European NFL teams and American footy teams in Euro leagues are just not going to happen. My Jags play in London each year, and we see folks coming over from the UK to add a game experience onto a vacation to Florida, particularly the golfing types. We're a small catchment area for followers and a newer club, and finally have an attractive product to offer on the field, and are adventurous in building a larger fan base in an area lots of folks like to visit.

I may be wrong, but that's the view I have to take. Who knows what will be available in the future, but moving bytes is a lot easier than moving actual athletes - the current technology would throw a physical team puddle jumping a full schedule into exhaustion and non-competitiveness. Revenue streams can run in cyberspace. It's harder in meatspace. Though I'd go, I suspect the US prem games would be as plastic an experience as I perceive the London NFL games are from here. The vibe is very different.
