...and NFL in the U.K.
Where is all this heading? I can totally understand the NFL ultimately expanding to a London-based franchise as a part of the league, then probably elsewhere in Europe and Asia. It's a relatively small sport that wants a larger global footprint. It's a goood idea in theory.
But what about European football leagues expanding globally? Isn't that just a cash-grab? Asia has its own long-established leagues and the US has the MLS. What's the end game here? Premier League 'franchises' overseas? That doesn't make much sense. It's just a marketing gimmick and money-making exercise, right?
