Premier League TV Rights !!

Ok... im sure this has been answered many a times.. but im not 100% sure of the answers myself..

Right at this moment in time im watching everton / reading on the Fox network (i presume in america)

and a lot of the time i watch it either on espn, start sports or an asian channel etc.

but when dont people living in the uk get to watch it live? Just sounds silly to me.. !!

Im guessing its to do with MOTD and tv rights etc.. but howcome other countries have them rights and we dont??

surely it would make more sense to allow the uk public the chance to watch major games live?

i mean most foreign countries get almost all the games, and we are lucky to get 4 a weekened.

It is the same here with baseball/NFL. It is all about blackouts and rights. It sometimes is very complex. Just like, Outside the UK, we can't get EvertonTV highlights until Sunday midnight.

And News Corp own the rights. They 'sub-license' them out to Setanta, ESPN etc etc
