Premier League Team of the Decade

Saint Domingo

Player Valuation: £90m
After Alyson Rudd’s embarrassing attempt at the latest piece of LFC propaganda I thought I’d go for a realistic premier league team of the decade (you know players who have played for more than one season of the decade and might have won something)

My team (442 Diamond)

De Gea
Ivanovic
Kompany
Terry
Cole
Kante
David Silva
Michael Carrick
Hazard
Aguero
Kane

De Gea

Azpilicueta
Kompany
Terry
Robertson (couldn’t think of another worthy LB tbh)

Kante
Yaya Toure
D. Silva

Aguero
Kane
Hazard

Thinking about it Baines would be a decent shout here for longevity, setting the prem assist record for most assists in the competitions history and in a single season.

Maybe, I think Baines’ peak was 2010-2013 and he was one of the best in the world. Unfortunately we never did anything though so I couldn’t justify putting him in.

God sakes, started doing it then realised half my team retired longer than 10 years ago/were coming to the end of their tenure 10 years ago so couldn't be included. I think Aguero gets nowhere near the amount of credit he deserves.

2 titles and a CL. Apparently not as good as Robertson’s relegation with Hull or his 4th and 2nd with Liverpool.

Ashley Cole is the best LB of the Premier League era for me, but not in the last decade. He won one title and one Champions League at the very start of the decade (2009/10 & 2011/12 respectively) when he was in his 30s and well past his best.

I'm not sure you can look past Patrice Evra who won two league titles in this decade and in terms of leadership, he was second to none.

I thought he was still around when Mourinho won the title on his return? Maybe not though. Evra is a good shout too.

I would also give a shout out to Azpelicueta (can’t spell right). RB turned LB and was very solid, especially under Mourinho when they won the league a year after Slippy G

You can't have any rs in any pl era team cos they've never won it.
Before I get shot down about Shearer he won it at Blackburn funnily enough at the pit.
