Premier League stat leaders by position

I think the statement “Stats are everything” is closer to being true then the endlessly repeated “stats aren’t everything”. Chances created, goals scored, tackles won, work rate, headers won, are the real unbiased measurement. There is more to it of course but some people just rather like to judge players on feeling, and stick to it.

The lack of praise in the media for Sigurddson's overall performance this season has been disgraceful. Thirteen goals from midfield is exceptional (to be fair I don't think it's been appreciated enough even by our own fans).

He also could have more goals if he hadn't missed as many penalties as he did lol

I wish someone had told bloody Steve Walsh that before he got his Spectrum ZX out and started purchasing pure garbage

Hmmm, actually might have been no worse than David Moyes' everton strike-rate when you look back on this season and how some of his signings have performed under better management.

Some have redeemed themselves for sure Orlymaster such as 50p head but we still got Cuco, Sandro, Bolasie, Klassen who contributed little and then Vlasic and Onyekuru who for different reasons haven't been involved and then Tosun who is pretty plop and Walcott ain't been amazing and it's only been the end of the season where Morgan has looked solid again.

But Gueye will be a huge profit, Pickford  actually has managed some clean sheets and would likely SELL for more than purchase cost, big money on sale of Lukaku at the right time....

It's probably a 30% hit rate which, when you look at the entire list of Moyes transfers, us fairly comparable

Yeah but he walked round Italy with a Kwik Save carrier bag which renders him a complete knobhead so Moyes is the winner

Indeed, some of the Steve Walsh signings will pass the test over time.

As you say Pickford, Keane, Henry fella, Vlasic, Lookman, Gana will all turn a profit if sold, but sadly any profit will be eaten up by the bad signings most of which we are setting fire to 000s on millions over the length of their contracts.

Contrast to Brands, who only signs ballers, we would turn a profit on ALL Brands signings, bar Mina at this point.
