The League Table of Achievement (Over or Under) - or my view of it.

1 "Liverpool"
2 City
3 Palace
4 Everton
5 Southampton
6 Hull
7 Chelsea
8 Arsenal
9 Stoke
10 Swansea
11 Newcastle
12 West Ham
13 Spurs
14 Sunderland (revival, cup final)
15 Villa
16 West Brom
17 Cardiff
18 Man Utd
19 Norwich
20 Fulham

My take is that Hull have had a great season, barely threatened with relegation, reached a Cup Final and therefore Europe. Perhaps even worth 5th. Liverpool and Palace have been exceptional. Everton have made positive steps forward. Others have gone backwards - such as Spurs and particularly United. They are "relegated" in place of Cardiff who could not realistically have expected to survive.

In fact, if they win that cup. They deserve to be 2nd.

I'd have City and Chelsea much lower in that list myself. In fact, if City don't win the league, you could make a case for putting them dead last given the money they spend.

Maybe so but it looks like they will. Maybe even then their only worth about 5th or 6th?

I'd have Cardiff last.

Spent a lot of money, sacked their manager, and haven't looked like staying up for a long, long time, even though it was only confirmed on Saturday.

I'd argue Norwich should be 18th, which is fair enough, they took a lot of gambles on players like Fer, Van Wolfswinkel and such, and it kind of backfired (but it so easily could have worked for them, all it would have taken is a Michu from Hooper or RVW), harsh on Hughton for me, how can you do a job to full capabilities if you know you're not trusted?

Fulham should be 19th, but they have an ageing squad, and no real stars in that squad. Bizarrely, sacking Meulensteen literally days after splashing £11m on Mitroglu is just mystifying.

United would be about mid table for me. Yes, their home form has been woeful, but i think it's been shown right there by Giggs, that it wasn't just Moyes, but infact the fact the squad clearly wasn't good enough for a top 4, yet alone title push.

Had it not been for a good first half, i'd have easily put Newcastle 20th, but they've clearly flopped.

My top 4 would be Liverpool, Palace, Southampton then Everton.

Giggs has inherited the damage Moyes left - a disjointed, unhappy squad with nothing to play for, and a backroom gutted by an incoming manager who drastically changed a successful set up right off the bat.

That squad is more than good enough to get a top four finish. This time last year that squad minus around £80m of talent won the league by 11 points.

I'd say that was down to the Fergie factor more than anything else. The mess Moyes left, should have been ignored, because don't they all love Giggs, so any unrest should be long gone! I'm not dissing what you're saying, especially the backroom staff, but the players were fine to Smash Norwich 4-0 last week, but got outfoxed by Sunderland? I'd say that the stars don't give a toss, and the rest, ala Young, Cleverley, Evans, aren't good enough to be doing that.

i'd agree if all their top players hadn't missed large chunks of the season.

something stupid like only having aguero, kompany, silva and toure all together on the pitch for about 2 1/2 games. no matter how good your squad is, you can't cope well without having that spine there.
