Premier League overseas' rights

Live sports are the last bastion of the television ad. They're a poor buy if you're targeting anything other than older males (hence all the erectile dysfunction ads for decades here in the States), but if you're going for broad-spectrum reach there really isn't a digital substitute.

Networks then pony up for the rights to sell those ads accordingly. It'll be interesting to see if the whole house of cards comes tumbling down when the TV generation finally passes on.

And that's why the rs and united are vital to the league's success. If we had a bigger overseas fanbase, we'd be getting the rub of the green more too.

I used to watch loads of matches we weren't involved in. Now I don't bother. Too many average teams playing for nothing week in week out. Maybe just because I'm older. I'd used to watch stuff like Chelsea arsenal or man utd man city but there's nothing appealing about it to me anymore really

And didn't they change the rules recently so that the top teams get a bigger % of overseas income?

Yeah the 2019-2022 overseas rights aren't equally divided like they were before.

The change means that the “Big Six” clubs stand to receive up to £80 million more in overseas broadcasting revenue than the League’s bottom sides over a three-year cycle.

Think the experiment with Amazon & BT and the way they lined up the games over Xmas/New Year is probably the way it will go.
Money and time means I go less and less so I would deffo buy into being able to watch my teams matches when I want.
Even the sacred 3pm no live football rule, if you tell me I can watch my team with a time delay of say one hour and pay a subscription I'd probably do it. Season tickets are so expensive down here so it might be the best option. It's not like owners need our bums on seats any more with the massive revenue they get

from Bogota it is frustrating to not see most matches (occasionally your night Cup matches are shown while I'm on the treadmill at the gym) , and not even able to see goal clips on twitter. Still haven't seen Richie's from Saturday. 7000 floating around twitter, 7000 "not able to see in your region" responses. Yet somehow seen Bernard's volley.

I didn't know about this but I find it disgraceful and I'm not sure how it has been allowed?

Big six my arse! I take it that at least two of this big six are sitting below an Everton side that have performed poorly themselves? Ridiculous. I hope Uncle Uzzy extracts the urine as much as possible, so that we get the money we need to compete with these cheats!

Astonishing sums as the quality really is average at best, I mean we’re 7th after being mostly awful this season. Why these countries crave the PL when they largely have no allegiances is beyond me. (Norwegian kopites aside)
