Premier League Manager Of The Season

...Conte. Of the also rans, I think Silva at Hull did an incredible job to at least give them a chance of staying up. I wonder if a Premier team will take a punt on him next season.

I am not supporting Dave here as I think his list is a bit off. Opinions and all that.

I do take massive issue with this statement though. We always talk about making a deep Cup run or two as a sign of success when we talk about expectations prior to a season.

The vaults will support me on that big time.

Making them a 'either yer first or last' Ricky Bobby style from Talladega Nights is not the reality of expectations.

...and odds on now with more points than last season. Hardly a catastrophic 'tailing off' is it?

Wenger is a genius and continues to be so.

"Getting to a cup final is't an achievement". Yeah, ok. From a fan of a club that's made one in the last 22 years.

Maybe for you two and a number of other fans, a cup run that ends with no trophy is worth remembering fondly. For me, counting "almost" achievements is small-time thinking, especially for a club with Everton's stature.

And yes Dave, going from 2nd to 5th is a drop. CL places are based on order of finish, so the fact that they will have more points than last year doesn't help them.

Wenger's record is astounding and continues to be so. Arsenal will probably end up with 75 points this season and possibly with their third FA Cup win in 4 seasons. You think that's not enough to place him above a feller who got "Moyesth" place.

He's getting hounded out by the biggest bunch of bedwetters in European football.

Yep.
This.

But context is everything.
What if in the final you lose on pens, have a man sent off for an awful refereeing decision and have your best player missing through injury?
The season is still a success, surely? a final is a lottery.
Look at when our messiah beat City in the final with his formidable Wigan team. No-one saw that coming.
