I love these hotels. I probably wouldn’t pay the full £60/£70/£80 rate for them, but if you book in advance and get them for £29 I think they are a bargain. Rooms are always large and comfortable and the staff are generally very friendly.

For cheap hotels they beat Travelodge’s hands down.

Im always in them with work, great hotels. Best are the new ones with an in house Thyme restaurant. Worst are the ones with a Fayre & Square next door.

Best one I’ve been to is a new one in Bedford. Cost me £29, but was better than some hotels I’ve stayed in that cost £100+. Been to a couple of older ones that are slightly tatty, but that said even a bad Premier Inn is still miles ahead of a good Travelodge.

I’d never book one midweek in Central London. Although I have just checked the Premier Inn website for you and you can get a Premier Inn for under £50 midweek in London at the start of December (albeit it is 8.6miles outside of Central London) and plenty of others within a short train journey of London for £60 to £80.

However I think you’d be hard pushed to get any decent hotel in Central London for under £100 these days.
