Discounting the Fair Play League malarkey, details have been announced of the Asia Trophy (lose on penalties) fixtures involving Arsenal,Stoke and a Singapore select eleven :

Pre Season fixtures so far:

Everton vs Stoke - (Singapore) - Thursday 16th July - 11am GMT K.O.

Everton vs Arsenal OR Singapore Select XI - (Singapore) - Saturday 18th July - K.O. TBC.

We should try and play champions league clubs. It's the closest to CL we will get

Malaga and Austria Vienna were great. If we don't get the Fair Play place then a good Friendly in Europe is a must.

Pre-season friendlies abroad, are only really worth while for one thing, a lads on the piss adventure !!

All season long we have had a continuous whine on here about how a "poor pre season" spent playing nonentities was the reason we were so bad.

Van Gaal meanwhile was quoted a fortnight ago as believing United's splendid pre season when they won a star studded tournament in the States was the reason for their poor season.
