I'm going to Prague end the month for a 21st just wondering if anyone recommends any decent bars/strip clubs/casinos ?

If you're having a go of the brasses go to sex park. You can fill your boots for 25 notes. As many go's as you like. There's a club called the Karol Vasjnye or something like that which is mostly locals and has an ice bar underneath too. Full of it!

You go to a beautiful city, and that's what you want to see?

Old Town is lovely. The view from Petrin Hill is nice as well, and a nice walk up there. Karlovy Most is nice first thing in the morning before everyone gets up as the river often has a lot of mist on it. Very photogenic.

The nice thing is it's a relatively small place, so easy enough to walk round, or failing that hop onto the tramvaj.

For those that like war history, the Lidice memorial is worth visiting. Not actually in Prague, but easy enough to get to by bus. http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/lidice_1942.htm has a decent summary of why it matters.

Appreciate that all of this is a waste of writing if all you want is to get drunk and look at strippers, in which case why on earth are you even leaving the country as you can do all of that from here.

I agree.

Was thinking of going there myself for an actual holiday, anywhere else you'd recommend Bruce?

Any good bars you would recommend? How much is a pint roughly in the square?

Don't go to the tourist area (the central square) if you want to get on the lash. It's a lot cheaper away from the tourist hot spots, like most big cities really.

When i was there pints were about £1.50 each.

Shots are a bargain as well as they use larger 40 or 50ml shot glasses as opposed to the 25ml ones in this country. You can get hammered much cheaper and much more quickly than over here.

Beautiful city, grim under belly of sex and drugs.

Couldnt believe that prostitutes literally come up to you in what seemed normal bars and say 'Sex?'

One of my mates decided to walk back to our apartment on his own when we were on a night out. He forgot to get a set of keys and ended up sitting outside the building. Two girls came up to him and started asking if he wanted a shag, then the next minute police pulled up and had all three of them against the wall.

As you said it's got some very dodgy characters/places but if you're careful it's great.

Depends if you're going with your other half and that. As with many capital cities, there's bits that are really touristy and bits that aren't. It pays to know a bit of the lingo as there can be tourist prices for things.

Whenever I'm there I just like walking around, listening to the music on Charles bridge, popping in cafes, eating some native food etc. If you've seen Before Sunrise, a bit like that, but in Prague rather than Vienna.

Lots of nice theatres etc. though if you wanted to see a show. Ditto things like the Kafka museum, whilst the Mucha museum is kinda cool as well.
