Have you ever persuaded anyone to follow Everton or told them what Everton are about and what makes them unique? "Once Everton touches you, nothing will be the same" is a quote we can all relate to and agree with but what if your other half knows nothing about football and you want them to feel the passion that drives us all on? What do you do? Surely it would make life easier if our partners understood who we are and how special it is being an Evertonian.

My partner doesn't enjoy football and I have tried to 'sway' her, sort of but so far not good. What would you suggest? What did you do? Bayern semi? Derby victories? Videos of fans singing? Take her to GP for a cup quarter final? I think she needs to experience an Everton win from trailing 1-0.

As long as she lets you go to/watch the game, its sound. Its nice to have something else that you can both concentrate on together, but for you to have the football as your thing.

I've never really tried to convince the missus about Everton, if that the right way to put it for that exact reason. I'm not available on match days for a few hours and I cant book holidays till the fixtures are out. She accepts it. That's sound by me.

simple, take her to a game...as long as we don't get tonked she'll be hooked......it was Palace away about 12 years ago I took my wife to for her first game, we won 3-1 and she has loved going ever since

Best mate and girlfriend.

Best mate plays footy but wasn't big on watching, I took him to his first game when we were about fifteen, Saha v. Chelsea. Now he lives darn sarf for uni but goes the match whenever he's back up and follows us on TV.

Girlfriend used to occasionally watch Liverpool (only on TV), her family of nine all Kopites (none of whom had ever been to Anfield despite living in Southport). Took her to a few games at the end of the Moyes era and then beyond, now she watches most weeks and has an Everton shirt (my old one tbf) - success.

I'm sure fans of all clubs everywhere feel special for supporting their team. They feel that their club is unique and different, and that their rivals are the biggest knobheads around. They have highs and lows just like us.

Took my god son to his first ever match. He is from a family of reds that never go the game. We were playing Oldham at home in the cup. I thought we should beat them easily he'll be impressed and start supporting us. Still blame Steffen Wessels every time I see him in a red [Poor language removed] kit

My missus was indifferent to football, she would follow England that's it.

Then I took her to Goodison, sat at the back of the Lower Gwladys it was an FA Cup game and even though we got beat she absolutely loved it and now is a massive Evertonian. She's been to quite a few games now and she's always asking when we are going back down again.
