Toying with the idea of getting back into life as a postie. After nattering to my, er, postie.
There must be a postie on here, or an ex postie.
Any thoughts? Early starts, early finishes? Do you sort/plan your own route? The ones I got to know when on the parcels all seemed sound, and pretty happy with the job fwiw.
Ta.
I can retire later this year, this may do me nicely so I'd be interested in the earners too...I want to be a postie
Whats the wages like?
They end up in drains frequently *taps nose*I drink with a couple of lads who are posties, one is full time and the other is part time.
The full time lad has his own round and the part time lad goes in with others and sorts the mail out for the full time lads, then goes out on the vans and does parcels or covers for lads on holiday / off sick.
I don’t think any of the part time lads ever get a round by the sounds of it.
The only moan they seem to have, is having to deliver those crappy leaflets / junk mail to every house - the post office gets paid to deliver them.
