The difference arsenal had in the last few seasons over most other teams in the league were nasri or fabregas could produce the bit of magic that would win them tight games and so they always stayed with the pack at the top. With them gone now they will become like the rest of the also rans in this league, meaning they,ll win some, lose some. None of their new signings can be relied upon to get them those extra points. They could easily finish nearer mid table if they dont get the rub of the green this year.

I'm a bit sceptical about Denis, but we are def in the range of 4-8, hoping for a luckboxed 4th place. Europe is definately on. Drenthe will be (a?) massive (tit?) tho', mark my words. I kinda hope we wont win as many big teams this season so that the team will be angry and pissed and just kung-fu themselves againt Stoke and the likes and win the ****ing triple.

7th - 11th.

The games that are going to really matter (apart from against the top 6) are games against Fulham, Sunderland, Newcastle, Villa, Bolton and Stoke. These are the teams who I think will be going for 7th place this season.

But if, come January, we are in the top half, and have some money to spend on another few strikes and creative midfielder, and get rid of Saha (think it'll be his last season) and Yobo, we could be in with a shout for top six.

Gonna be a long season though.

I think we'll finish 7th-10th. I think we've got a couple of years of transition and book-balancing ahead.

And I'm not writing Arsenal off. They won't push for the title this year but every season people say they're going to drop out of the top 4, and they never do.

I know replacing Fabregas and Nasri is nigh on impossible, but things like that 8-2 are just freak results, a bit like when they mullered us 6-1 on opening day a couple of season ago when we had all the Lescott rubbish going on.

Moyes on Everton's *way forward* in the transfer market:

“I still think it will be important that we keep hold of our best players. We lost one last year in Mikel Arteta and Joleon (Lescott) a few years earlier, but we’ve tended to be not too bad. I hope they get encouragement from how well the team has been playing.

I’ve never been comfortable doing it as my job is to build a team but I’ve got to make sure there is a football club and if that means trading then well that’s fine, that has to happen. There can be a way forward that way."

What a shameful, arse-licking yes man this feller's turned into.

If Barkley goes like bluefox suggested then I'll fume.

Not just because of the obvious loss of a talent, but for not exposing him and giving him the opportunity to raise his profile and possibly inflate his value.

So in short "If we need to sell our best players so I can buy sub standard replacements and give most of the profit to the banks well thats just fine and dandy because hey I am on a top wedge"
