Spot on.

Bring back the European Cup, Cup winners and UEFA and play them as Knock Outs as in the old days.

Bin the League Cup. Its the ugly girl at the dance.

Stop playing FA Cup semis at Wembley and have the final at 3.00 on a Saturday afternoon.

Solved and sorted.
Agree with all that. Especially binning the League Cup.

English fixture list 'overcrowded and untenable' - FA

Arsenal and Hull drew 0-0 when they met at Emirates Stadium on 20 February

The fixture list in England is "overcrowded and untenable", according to the Football Association.

Hull City host Arsenal in an FA Cup fifth-round replay (19:00 GMT) on 8 March - a Champions League night.

The FA said  "exhaustive discussions" had taken place with Uefa before confirming the date as it clashes with Europe's premier club competition.

In a statement, it added: "The FA recognises that this is not an ideal solution for everyone."

Premier League side Arsenal were held to a goalless draw at home by Championship leaders Hull on 20 February.

On the same date as the replay, Real Madrid play Roma and Wolfsburg meet Gent in the second legs of their Champions League last-16 ties.

The FA said: "It does strengthen the case for footballing bodies to work closely together in a positive, collaborative way to resolve the overcrowded and untenable fixture schedule."

It was revealed last week that FA Cup replays could be scrapped in order to trim the fixture list.

The FA also has concerns the season leaves the national team tired for major summer tournaments.

UEFA need to swerve the rule off where clubs can't play when CL football is on.

You're telling me Everton can't play their derby match, or hull can't play arsenal in a replay because Roma are playing Real Madrid and benfica Zenit?! Despite being two completely different competitions.

UEFA can shove it. Let teams play when they want to play... And whilst we're st it, give more rights to Europe league teams, I see braga and fenerbahce both had to kick off early despite both being in the Europa league from the start because of CL dropouts, ridiculous rule.

Keep both domestic cups, and keep replays for draws (until the semi final) but jib off the 2 legged semi final crap. Bring in 1 legged semi finals at neutral grounds (not Wembley) going to extra time if needed with the final being at Wembley, the FA cup final being 3pm kick off on the Saturday following the last league game of the season.

As has been said, it's the layout of European competitions which are the issue rather than the domestic games.

If they got rid of the 2 leg semi for the LC, I wonder if they could shorten the gaps between rounds and have the final around Christmas?

I still reckon the PL should jib off the League Cup.
