It's possible only @Zatara may be interested in this thread, but this has been my favorite change in what's been an otherwise frustrating campaign.
Should the Stefan Lukic signing indeed be a reality, the club will have signed three youth players this season at a discount. The details are all a bit foggy, but Brendan Galloway may or may not have been out of contract at MK Dons, David Henen was out of favor at Anderlecht and had only a year left on his contract, and now Lukic, who is also out of contract.
There are no better deals in football than talented prospects that are out of contract. Paul Pogba is a rare exception, but you only need to hit on one out of ten for it to be good business. Hitting on more than that can be transformative for any club.
I very much appreciate this change in approach, and who knows, it may just set up the club for big things down the road.
