Alright lads, this is my first post.

I have been a blue all of my life and have never been so proud. From what has been achieved in the recent years to what we were all used to.

We have left signings late, so what? The players we WILL bring in have been training pre season with their respective clubs and any good professional can fit into our side as it is these days.

We have a solid back 4 which is the most important thing.

Lescott
Yobo
Baines

Most clubs cant boast of such a back line. One of the best in the Prem IMO

Cahill (when fit)
Arteta
Osman (doesnt get much of a mention but is such a quality player now)
Pinear

I wont mention others like youth players etc but this is a strong midfeild again with more than enough creativity.

And the YAK!!! Goals goals goals

Add this the likes of Vaughn Vic etc and the signings we are going to make whoever they may be i am very confident and therefore a bit fed up of the gloom in here.

If we did it the easy way it would take the fun out of supporting Everton!

I'm with Harry, no enforcer in the midfield, would be great going forward but what happens when the ball comes back the other way....

Thats why i posted good players that we have. I dont get caught up with transfer gossip but signings will be made very soon. This is when we can add the enforcer type player which we do need.

I wont mention players names as its a jinx for me but personally i am very excited with the squad Moysie has put together so far, more to come.

Always good to add another optimist to the group! You are right our strong back 4 (+ Howard) probably allow us to be more aggressive going forward in midfield. Can't wait for the season to start.

Im with you completely- the only player in my eyes that NEEDS replacing is Carsley. As long as we get that midfield sorted Im happy that we will have a good season.

i can't wait for the season to start, with hopefully 3/4 signings we are a force for any team in any competition. the Yak will get a very good tally again this year.

I think the Yak will score even more goals than last year.... dont forget that we never signed him till near the end of the summer. He must of missed at least 2-3 games. Then Moyes dropped him for a few games!!! and after all that he dissaperaed to the ACON for 6 WEEKS!!

I am confident he can break 30 goals this year!!! COYB!!!

Agree with you, that there's to much doom and gloom at the moment. I do feel however, that this forum is probably the most positive Everton forum around. We do have quality players throughout the team. However, feel that we're in desperate need of a beast of a midfielder. Someone to replace Carsley, but a better footballer at the same time.

We are normally the optimistic forum, but thanks to the medium of the internet, we ourselves have perpetuated the 'crisis' we are in. It would suck if we didn't sign anybody, but we would make a go of it.

i'd agree that as far as the first XI go the only replacement needed is for carsley. however, we have precious little cover for that first XI and i'm sure moyes will also be looking to bring players in who will improve the first team so that the current incumbents know they've got a real challenge on their hands to hold down a regular place in the team. but we've still 3 weeks to go, so no need to panic just yet.
