Pos/neg rep - help please

Can someone please tell me about the positive/negative rep thing?

I've been posting for about a year now and have only recently gone on to User CP and found a little group of fellow addicts have been saying nice things about me. I'm embarrassed...

Would like to know how these comments are 'awarded' and if theres any negative ones as well.

How do I reciprocate for others?

Is that how the little green dots are accumulated/

Basically, if someone likes/dislikes what you've posted they can give you reputation by clicking the little scales. You can either give someone good reputation or bad reputation & then give a reason if you want to. If you have mostly good reputation you get a load of green marks, if you have a load of bad you get red marks

You can only award positive reps to members called Bruce.

only shows last few, if you are aforum supporter you can see who gave what.
some members are banned from giving rep for being irresponsible "they" know who the snide is.

Yeah does anyone still use the rep regulary anymore? I cant remember the last time i gave any out cause i got fed up being told i had to spread it around.

Thank goodness you've asked first, I've been wondering what those green things were but didnt like to ask cos I thought you'd all take the mick. BigBadJeff and GOT will confirm how useless I am with this computer stuff.

Can do wonders with a frying pan though...

Im always spreading it around like utterly butterly....Good reputation that is before anyone gets the wrong idea's.

I've had my rep powers taken away from me, i'm not sure why. I wasn't part of the snide scandal but was made out to be a big influence. It's since been discovered i was innocent and recieved some terrible abusive reps on posts.

I'd like to be able to rep, i think snides like Chico, Goat, Brownie, TX Bill, Toccy etc shouldnt though.
