Porn Bushes

Anyone remember this phenomenon before the internet existed ? Did you have a local porn bush ?

When I was a lad, Otterspool Prom used to be a prime area for hunting out " porn bushes ".

There was also the " johhny bush " in the main car park, where the doggers used to hang there used johnnys on the shrubbery, that surrounded the car park. Sadly no longer there, as the council removed the shrubbery, that hid the car park to deter the doggers.

Then there was the gents bogs, aka the " Otterspool Cottage " and the " Fairy Glen " further into Otterspool Park.

And to cap it all off, there was the flashers, who`d jump out on unwary lone female dog walkers.

Sadly, the " Fairy Glen " is the only thing that is still there.

All the things your parents warned you about, all under one roof lol

While porn bushes were a thing my father had the common decency to keep all his porn mags hidden, but not very well hidden, in his bedroom.

He was in the Army in his younger days and stayed on as a reserve once he left. There was one big cloth kitbag full of his uniform and another one absolutely rammed full of copies of Fiesta. Tight enough that if you pulled one out it was a genuine struggle to cram it back in there. He also kept his hardcore VHS collection in the ottoman underneath a stack of bedsheets.

That bedroom was a treasure trove for teenage me.

No bushes but a lad in school his dad had a porn mag collection like one of those hoarder types if the internet would of been around at the time the fella could of won a Olympic medal for w@nking or probably nonced his way to a sentence
