This wasnt a political issue as simple as that but typically, becuase this country of ours goes for lowest common denominator,i.e,the politics of the daily mail Dodgy Dave and Weeping Wills (football fans when it suits them it seems to me) decided to get involved..they shouldnt have simple as that.

The FA asked FIFA nicely if they could change shirts,FIFA said no that should have been the end of it to my mind,no slur intended by FIFA but no these 2 dopey buggers have to get their oars in where frankly it wasnt warranted there's far too much crap going on in the world for our PM to be become involved with an issue that isnt really an issue.

Oh and no doubt the rabid right wingers on here will start to froth at the mouth at what i've written,if i may suggest go and buy a copy of the Times, they've more or less said exactly what i've said here..it was a sporting issue NOT a political one.

Am i the only one who has had a conversation about this subject and had the misfortune to get a "probably only done it so they didn't offend Muslims" load of bollocks?

Stopped by the RAF detachment and bought my poppy yesterday. Wore it today as we are off for our Remembrance Day(Veterans Day) tomorrow. For my brethren in the RAF and for all who have made the Ultimate Sacrifice, RESPECT.

Oh and FIFA, one last thing: Suck my ass. Didn't have to be tvvats about it at all. Could have just let it be.

Not looking to defend FIFA here but they make the rules, now this precidence has been set where does it end? we play some no mark team whio then decide they want to play in camel bollocks and bacon rashers "to honour their memory" of whoever or whatever camel bollocks and bacon rashers represent where does it stop?

If you play near this improtant date then of course have a moments silence then play on,so for my money FIFA where right in the first instance it just seems certain people decided to get involved for the wrong reasons..i.e our shambles of a world cup bid last year and "give FIFA a kicking" rather than keeping their noses out of an issue that didnt concern them.

If FIFA where at fault they could have given the FA the option to change the date of the game before the fixture list was even drawn up in the first place
