Saw them on a sunny day in September from the tour bus. The sun hit them just as we rounded the corner past the Tower.

An amazing sight.

I would suspect that the vast majority on this forum will have a relative who was killed in the war.

Holodomor is probably up there. Sadly, governments discovered some rather industrial ways of killing people in the 20th century. Mankind is capable of doing some incredible things, but some truly atrocious things also.

Ebay has stopped the selling of them as they are being auctioned for double the cost charged by the charity. No good deed goes unpunished.
