Poll: Do you want Lukaku to stay at Everton?

I don't like the way he seems to speak in this way about us to foreign press, usually I'd say get rid, but what is the alternative?

Kone, Niasse and Valencia?

No thanks, I'll keep 20+ goals per season Lukaku. I feel getting rid would be cutting our nose off to spite our face.

I don't like his attitude in the press (which appears to have become significantly more sour and arrogant since he recruited his current agent*), but if he hits form we'll massively benefit.

Think its a near certainty he'll go next summer. So if he doesn't sign a new contract during this season (thats if we offer one) it'll be time to move on. Ideally I'd want us to buy first ( to show our intent after the deadline day debacle) then sell when we're ready. But somehow I think it'll be other way round again.
In answer to the poll question, I'd like him to stay beyond next year but just don't see it.

Nope, I would have taken 35m in the Summer, he is about to have the worst season in his career, we shouldnt have been greedy.

I think that this is ultimately what will happen here. In most cases great players will improve average players. However, Lukaku seems to be very easily swayed by the opinion of others, hence leaving it all to his agent. I think he runs the very real risk of being badly effected by the jargness of Niasse, Kone and now Valencia. He'll forget how to score goals at all very soon, or should that be continue to forget how to score goals.

The same happened with Beattie, while he was playing with McFadden. Very weak minded individuals.

That's not the alternative though is it? If we sell Lukaku, we can bring in two to bolster depth and actually perhaps bring in a player who doesn't have rubber shins.

If he'd have been sold last minute then yes, that was the alternative.

The boy is natural goal scorer and these people are a rare breed, admittedly his first touch at times is schoolboy level and his workrate can be poor.....but getting 20 goals a season is worth accepting some of his failings on the pitch.
Off the pitch his ramblings to the media are cringeworthy at times and he sounds like a very needy individual. I agree in most cases I would get shut simply as we don't need disrespectful individuals in our set up....but until we improve overall I can accept this as I know he will get us 20 goals.
When we improve as a team and we can replace him, move him on....but the strange part is if we do improve and say get CL he will want to stay

I sit in the camp of keeping him.......I think

I just think that it's maybe unwise to judge his entire game on his admittedly poor first touch.

He may not be the complete player, but who is?

If he knocks 20+ goals per season as he can and has, I'm prepared to put up with a poor first touch and occasional dry spell, which most players have anyway.

Fully agree
