Politics on Here?

Why is this a non debate? Why is it out of bounds? I dont get it as there should be no political affiliation on a football site but Politics affects every minute of our life whether it is through taxes, MP's expenses, Crime etc I think yer need to look at this and actually allow Political debate. Racism an hatred no go all day but Politics I dont get.

From years of experience, political discourse isn't conducive to the forums environment.

Of course, we try an allow for common sense and we try and allow certain threads to run their course but the default, 'disclaimer' position needs to be;

q) Be religious, racial or political. There are other forums on the Internet suited for exactly this type of discussion, and ask that you please conduct such discussions on those forums.

It's a subject that has been talked about many times on here mate, very recently too.

The forum owners don't want us to talk about politics on here for various reasons. That's final.

It generally disintegrates into slanging matches mate arguments all over the show, politics is a controversial subject and causes heated argument.

Depends entirely on the nature of the thread mate. Recent 'political ones' have been high risk and by high risk, we mean likely to incur bans for contravening other rules.
