Program on BBC1 now about Rotherham showing the effects of PC culture.

yeah, naturally about a day after i posted a more light-hearted bit on here, this came to my attention. too outraged to speak rationally on it. just well done. great work by the people who should have been protecting these girls. everyone - police, social workers, politicians, and rapists should all be in prison. preferably in the same cell block.

disgusting.

(insert lazy-but-timely joke here on how Rotherham maybe *should* start training girls on how to fire uzis)

This is still a problem which needs much attention, but wont get it as nobody in the 3 main parties are prepared to face some very unpleasant facts about multicultural Britain, well i say that but its one culture in particular.

Its fine to admit you don't like Muslims mate. Not everyone has to.
In the slim chance you aren't fishing its very much a muslim problem, even more so a Pakistani one.

Groups representing Sikh and Hindu communities have complained about the term "Asian" being used to describe the men involved in grooming trials.

Earlier this month, nine men were jailed for being part of a sex ring in Rochdale which groomed girls for sex.

The groups said the men involved were "almost always of Pakistani origin" and the term "Asian" was inaccurate.

The Ramadan Foundation has said grooming is "a significant problem for the British Pakistani community".

The joint statement was released by the Network of Sikh Organisations UK, The Hindu Forum of Britain, and The Sikh Media Monitoring Group UK.

It says the reluctance of the media and the government to discuss the "disproportionate representation of Muslims in such cases" and the fact victims are "almost always non-Muslim girls" is adding to the cause of far-right groups such as the BNP.

It said blanket use of the word "Asian" was "unfair to other communities of Asian origin".

"We believe that in this case the government itself is sanctioning the use of term Asian as a way of clouding responsibility," the groups say.

Hahaha I was fishing a bit.

It is pisstake with what has happened there and in a couple of other places in similar circumstances and the authorities failure to deal with it as they were scared of being labeled racist.

Even though I wasnt as outraged as the BNP types I was infuriated to read that. Its pathetic.

thus will fall the western world.

heaven forbid we say something unpleasant, even if true.

forced PC politeness >>>>>>>>>> violent crimes like gang-rape or murder.

as far as i'm concerned, treat the tolerant with tolerance, the intolerant with intolerance. you move to a country, you abide by their rules and society. if you cannot, GTFO.

Ironic thing is the BNP were talking about this 10 years ago but got shouted down for inciting racism. Broken clocks being right twice a day and all that.

They've unfortunately handed it to them on a plate. More fool them, I hope it pains those in power throughout the whole affair for a long time.

he wasn't sacked, there wasn't exactly uproar, it was accepted as a mistake by someone from another generation, and he was corrected and allowed to get on with his job and life, surely that is a good outcome..
He still had to issue a grovelling apology, as if he's deliberately set out to offend people.

Im guessing the N word one? My mum had a family dog called the N word in the 50's I think. Certainly didnt mean the same back then I dont think..
The very same word. However, it directly related to the then acceptable colour reference which was N black. No offence; no racism; just a colour without racial connotations.

We had a couch way back in the day and the colour was exactly the same: referred to in the same way. My family were / are far from bigoted, however that term now carries excess badge. There is the G word again... the perfectly acceptable original term has been pushed to the byline because idiots use it in the wrong way.
