Police Officer Caught 'Framing' Citizen on Camera

I think when he said "I've had tea", the Police man heard "I've had two".

I dunno what event this was but it is a bit confrontational

I can't help but get properly annoyed by things like that, people who think they can just do things because of their stature annoy me too much.

Same here mate. These people are supposed to be keeping us safe FFS!

Has he been sacked yet?

Don't know mate.

WHERE'S THE SACKING MONEY BILL?

Didn't think of that. But, in the video he goes on about the man has driven there yet he was 'detained' whilst walking on a foot path.

He said 'tea' enough times to remove equivocal interpretation imo, that was an intentional ploy to remove him/arrest him.
Btw didn't he know his car even though he hadn't used it that day?

Glad my taxes are being spent well.

Oh don't get me wrong the Police Man wasn't very calm, lacked composure and came across like he was looking to stitch the camera man up, get him sent away from the scene in a van so he wouldn't have to deal with him anymore, even if it was obvious the man wasn't breaking the law.
Discredited the police

Not really sure what the cop is meant to have done wrong, unless he just made up that section of the road traffic act about being allowed to breathalyse you if he suspects you were driving?

He starts shuffling the cameraman away and then goes:

"Have you had a drink this morning?"
"No, I've had tea this morning"
"You've had a drink this morning, haven't you? I can smell the alcohol on your breath"

Followed by a couple of minutes later "This man told me he's had two drinks this morning"

Yep, I got that. So he misheard him first time, and then thought he was changing his story. Which is pretty much understandable since he did change his story - I haven't been drinking suddenly becomes I haven't been driving as soon as a breathalyser is mentioned.

So what did he do wrong?

What if he was driving? We don't really know. And if an officer asks you to provide a breath test just do it and clear your name. Then if you feel you've been treated poorly you can then present the evidence such as the video in a complaint. The copper was an absolute belter but for every one of him there's 20 other good one so, as long as it's lawful, just do what he says and take it further later. He had the video evidence to do so.

People are incredibly desperate to use anything to attack the police with, but we are incredibly lucky to have the police force we do have, bad apples aside. Did any of you watch 'hunted' on channel 4 last night?

Yeah.

I have an ongoing case in my life right now and the police have been nothing but superb in their investigation and the support they've given people around me. They have faults but some people are obsessed with 'sticking it to the man' when they don't realise just how lucky we are in this country.

The guy in this video is a dick, the police officer in this video is a dick. End of story really.
