Police investigation concerning money laundering, corruption and match fixing in Belgian football

Some lad on the transfer thread mentioned Berge as being good
What position does he play and would he suit the PL
I see Dendoncker has not played one minute for Wolves and a coule Of windows ago he was announced as the second coming

Berge is very good. He'll go for big money; they refused a 20 mil € bid for him in the summer by Sevilla (CM). He's very tall, has a good technique and is athletic. There was a press article that Everton tried to sign him in 2017, but they were too stingy and refused to meet the 1.7 mil pound asking price. Now he'll go for a whole lot more.

Dendoncker is still a good player. I think he only played league cup for them. Idk what's the issue there tbf. Maybe he's totally unfit or something; he didn't seriously train for Anderlecht during the entire preseason since he wanted a transfer and tbh the season before he played well below his level. I hope for his sake he redeems himself. He's already lost his national team spot so ....

In the meantime:

The referees are implicated, damn. Both of them have been given suspensions. One of them went to a Ford Dealership with one of the agents and was given a discount. Apparently the both of them were friendly with the agents. One of the referees is a radiologist, he can't have done it for the money.

Oh and for two matches they can prove (attempted) match fixing. It was a war between agents; each having a lot of players in a different club. Velkjovic lost and Mechelen got relegated last season. They also bribed two journalists, to make sure they would give the referee good ratings after the match... Good memes though.

There's also the money laundering aspect, millions of euros but that's less surprising. For Bayat they are also very interested in three recent transfers; one of them being the Onyekuru to Everton transfer.

One of the reasons that this is LESS likely to happen in the Prem is that there is so much money. Takes more to but someone off who's making millions a year than someone on much less. That's the reason there is more corruption in the lower and lesser leagues in almost every sport. Its also less likely to get noticed and/or have enough people care in lesser know leagues.
