6 + 2 Point Deductions

They're hell bent on sending us down I know that much.

You can read it on the PL website now mate.
Oh I know, we've turned into a supine puppy getting it's stomach tickled. A pathetic shadow of what what we once were, and there's not a blind thing we can do about it. The club is damaged beyond repair, destined to scrape along the bottom reaches of division, becoming even more irrelevant to everybody except the fans - and even we are just exhausted by the decline and fall of Everton.
Still, we had good times.

Someone just made a great point.

Why are we even mentioned in the Forest IC report? Our breaches are for completely different things (stadium and loans) not players, like forests.

Everton’s name appears 81 times in their report, but every club is treated individually and punishments cant be compared…..

Whole thing kin stinks.

Allright lads, Forest fan here, I get you boys want us to have more points off and I get why,

But isn't all this points deduction stuff a load of rubbish, I don't want to see anyone deducted points around us, even if it benefits us, the state of the Premier League honestly
Remember when we warned that the non-Sky6 needed to fight this because the PL would come after other clubs but all we got was 'rules is rules so you cheated, stop the moaning'. Karma is a bitch, isn't it?

Huge moment for football: Football Governance Bill begins its passage through Parliament on Tuesday. Will tackle selfish/rogue/profligate owners. DCMS says independent regulator will be “enshrined in law that will give fans a greater voice in the running of their clubs”. Regulator to “promote financial sustainability” and can fine clubs up to 10% of turnover for non-compliance. Competitions like European Super League blocked under new legislation.Regulator will implement strengthened Owners’ and Directors’ Test to “stop clubs falling into the wrong hands”. Rogue owners can be removed and struck off from owning clubs “if they are found to be unsuitable”. Regulator has backstop powers to impose a ‘new deal’ on financial distributions, which should break @premierleague clubs’ impasse with @EFL.

Clubs to be licensed from National League to Premier League. “It follows a number of issues in recent years including financial mismanagement, breakaway plans for the European Super League, and changes to club names, badges and colours against the wishes of fans.” Regulator will have no input in on-field decisions."The regulator provides a means to intervene and stop clubs being run into the ground, protect the heritage of clubs, give supporters a much bigger voice in the running of the game, and prevent any chance of domestic clubs joining a breakaway European Super League,” says Kevin Miles
@WeAreTheFSA.

“The regulator must be given the power to impose a financial settlement in the interests of the sustainability of the game as a whole. It is far too important to be left to the squabbling between the vested interests of the richest club owners.”PL says: “We agree it is vital that clubs are sustainable, remain at the heart of their communities and that fans are fundamental to the game. But PL warns: “Mindful that the future growth of the Premier League is not guaranteed, we remain concerned about any unintended consequences of legislation that could weaken the competitiveness and appeal of English football.”

If the ESL was banned - the other 14 clubs could finally have the testicles to stand up and demand a fairer system in place rather than the current FFP model without fear of the scabs taking their ball and going home.

Would they however is a different matter. The fact only City voted against the new stricter system is dissapointing and suggests the other 14 including EFC are happy with the status quo.

But PL warns: “Mindful that the future growth of the Premier League is not guaranteed"

Read that as - if the "top generating clubs" aren't given priority, the league won't grow.

"we remain concerned about any unintended consequences of legislation that could weaken the competitiveness and appeal of English football.”

Additionally - by making the league fairer, the top financial clubs may lose out and therefore the wider audience won't to watch it.

its already too big, it doesnt need to grow anymore. It's a national club competition, why it has such huge popularity amongst those from all far flung parts of the globe is beyond me.
