6 + 2 Point Deductions

Also what a powerful position for the buyers to be in. They know these clubs literally have to clear some profit before the 30th of June or take a point deduction. If you’re United or Arsenal and you want Ollie Watkins you can literally lowball Villa until they eventually cave or accept 6 points deduction and you probably get the player anyway after 40th June because they’ll want to sort out the next accounting period as well.

It truly is the legislation that has screwed any incursion on the PL elite. Sell your best players to your rivals at the time and prices they dictate or face point deductions.

Shows it all for the sham it is.

And the only clubs who will be able to afford an Ollie Watkins? The big 6 of course and a few sides around Europe.

All these teams having to sell players before June 30th to avoid PSR, is there going to be enough buyers? A few teams could be in trouble....
This Villa situation really shows the folly of PSR as here is a club who have invested in players and staff to improve their chances of success and are in a great position to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The extra revenue from potentially finishing fourth(place money) and the CL revenues next season will be at odds with a potential breach if they don’t sell someone in the summer.
The club is looking forward but the rules are looking backwards and never shall the twain meet.

Imagine there was a league where 6 of the teams had all the best players, all the money, and all the favourable refereeing decisions, and had the pulling power of the European competitions that enticed all other players towards them.

The other 14 teams barely had any money, none of their players wanted to play for them, and even when they did get money they weren’t allowed to spend it. They were then forced to sell all their best players to the top 6 and despite doing this for years on end quite a few of them ended up having points deducted.

The PL. Unless the scab six F off to a super league, people are just going to stop watching it. It’s boring.

Watch all the clubs vote a rule change in now, leaving us the only ones to get punished. I still think Forest who have the leading sports law KC will manage to end up with some pathetic punishment even though they are over by more than our £19.5m breach.
Do Forest fans have an X-based squadron of “football finance experts” that have estimated their breach? Their club statements have been very much “lets get it over with” rather than vowing to defend themselves. Clearly acknowledging guilt, but hard to know if that’s because they are comfortable because it’s a tiny breach, or because they know there is no point arguing because they’ve blown the limit to bits.
