If you’re gonna be punished to the extent we are for the crime of having poor financial results then that puts the onus on clubs to prioritise money over morals and their corporate objectives. Remember when Liverpool got hammered for intending to claim Furlough at the start of the pandemic? The sky favorites are not going to fall foul of this any more as they can wash their players through the Saudi league. Watch how many Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool players etc are sent to Saudi to get wages off books or sold for a massive income boost. It’s a perfect setup to bail out clubs with excellent players who need a bit more return on their investments than any European club is likely to pay. Its a scam.
