6 + 2 Point Deductions

Shocking. Do we have a leg to stand on in a legal sense? Or do we just hire someone out of clown college? Do they realise that relegation kills us and denies Euro 2028 a top whack stadium? Sure the government would really like that.

Take this all the way to the supreme court.

If you read the report, it smacks of a decision made well in advance. The commission cites aggravating factors like Everton's accountant stating under cross-examination that part of his job is to find ways to interpret PL rules in his client's favor, goes all holier than thou about the Prem's 'utmost good faith' clause, and acts like other clubs (eg: Chelsea, City) do not engage in this behavior.

The commission completely blows off the force majeure argument with respect to the invasion of Ukraine, and armed conflict is generally considered to apply in such cases. Everton should have managed this risk how? That's like saying Abramovich should have sold Chelsea in 2021 to manage that risk. Insanity.

Don't worry everyone, we can expect others to be punished accordingly.
