Rumour has it he was of to spurs at a slight profit. You can't really make a judgement on a freak injury. He proved the season after even at Blackburn he still had goals left. I admit in hindsight it was a bad signing but the player himself wasn't gash.

We signed Beckford for free, he hit double figures then we sold him for a few million. I realise I am not changing the measuring points of my previous post but tough. a 10 goal striker isn't a bad thing to have.

Yeah...but we basically ran him out of town because he wasn't up to snuff. I get your point though.
