All these players have had ago at the crowd over the last two weeks which is strange.

Its seems that the players have had enough of the crowds and its now getting to them. I've never agreed with the booing the players have received over the season.

Martinez also came out and said that the crowd could be pushing the younger players out.

Ive created this thread as its a subject that needs to be discussed

It might have been the same crowd who lambasted Stones for keeping possession. We'll leave the football to the footballers, will we?

They are right, a lot of out 'Support' only go to Boo.

...never really understood all of this but I suppose we are all different types. Personally I'm a watcher, not a singer or a shouter. I will have a footy chat with my lad and jump up when we score but I see and hear angry people around and just accept they are different.

Players need to brush shouts off from the sidelines, they should know better than to get involved.

Oviedo is about the last person you'd expect to have a go at a fan, he loves Everton and always has time for pictures etc. Must have been bad to get him to have a go.

The caller also picked up on the fact that Martinez needs to tell his players to stop having ago at the fans and not get involved.

This is a thread that is OTT, divisive and unhelpful to us at a time of the season when we're looking to get to Wembley.

Its needs to be discussed no matter how shameful/bad this is.

The more you think about it, the more Stones displayed an arrogance by gesturing toward the Park Enders last week.

Every bugger was shouting "get rid".....a perfectly natural reaction from any football fan of any club in any country given the circumstances.

No one was abusing him.

That it all ended well should have been the signal for Stones to smile at the crowd and give a little wave or make a mock sigh of relief by mouthing an ironic "phew".

The Park Enders would have been laughed and that would have been the end of it.

Instead he makes a patronising gesture at the people who pay his wages as if they have no right to do owt more than sit back and spectate.

(BTW this matter was dead to me until this thread appeared and I thought a bit of balance was needed.....I for one will not regard any player, no matter how good he is, as doing me a favour merely by playing for my club. No one is above criticism

)
