alan ball

Player Valuation: £70m
I think the first player that left and broke my heart was the shock sale of Alan Ball to Arsenal. Secondly, I was shocked when Billy Bingham let Joe Royle go down to the end of the east Lancs road to join Manchester City.
Later on in years, the sale of Rooney was disappointing but the circumstances were entirely different, we became a sellable club then didn't we, not that I agree with it. I hate to see any player with potential being sold.
Jeffers to Arsenal? I'm sure if you asked the question, he would regret that move. Barmby was a great player for us but unfortunately his heart ruled his head and decided to betray his disciples and cross to the other side.
Ball and Royle were two that I could never come to terms with, both true Evertonians.

Big Dunc
Arteta mainly the missing money was the heartbreaker
Manny he was all but an everton player then next thing you know hes holding a valencia shirt

I knew in my head it was time for Cahill to go but I was geniunely gutted when he did....especially after watching THAT world cup goal. Never forget his overhead against chelsea either. Great Evertonian Tim.
TBH his last 18 months with us softened the blow for me, i almost wanted him out by then, just a shame he never got to have a proper send off
