Player's Parade stopped - a sign of the times?

You just know some scally will set up a stall selling eggs to throw at the players after a particularly abysmal defeat

They had better hope some other young entrepreneur doesn't set up a stall selling manure. £1 a bag, fling poo like a demented gibbon.

Bunch of adults seriously arsed about whether they can hang out and say hello to another bunch of adults before they go to work. Don't think the kids care either way, before or after.

Made up all the rubbish has gone, bad to being a proper team now instead of trying to impress fans before hand, it was only taken up because of it happen in America.

Hes also cancelled all the player of the month awards saying they are pointless

Am liking him, ruthless just like Moyes was

Hopefully the fans will reward good play after the match but with the state of the moaning nowadays can't see it

I used to have a little book when i was about 11 and used to try and get all the autographs for a season or two - remember speaking to carsley who was sound which made my day like

In true Everton style, this has just been tagged to the bottom of a cascade of social media

After each game? So you and your youngest family members can now hope to bump into Lukaku, earphones on, as he sulks his way out of the carpark at 6pm.

Another bit of fan engagement removed for, let's be honest, little or no obvious net benefit to the players other than they don't have to deign to give up five minutes of their precious time with the great unwashed... who just so happen to contribute to the paying of their wages.

Nothing will be the same.

What's your view? Understandable removal or a tradition or a damning indictment of the current direction of travel? Have your say below.

I generally get to Goodison about 5 to 10 minutes before kickoff so, while I'll admit that if I was taking our kids to the ground when they were nippers to try and get autographs, I'd rather get there early, especially in Winter, than hang around for an hour after the game when they'd have been tired, but even so ...

File me under NEA mate

Thread needed a poll by the way

The only place I want to see them is bumming teams into submission on the pitch, not arsed if I never set eyes on any of them outside of the ground again. Can't say my feelings were any different as a kid either, just win and you can flick the V's at us paupers on the way out.

Not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread, but the reason it was scrapped from before the game is because instead of allowing the players to arrive individually before the game around 12:30pm/1pm as Martinez did, Koeman has instructed that for all 3pm kick off games from now on, all the players have to park at Finch Farm for 10:30am, a coach will take them to Goodison. There's a matchday squad meeting at 11am at Goodison, following by a pre-match meal together at the ground.

It's far stricter under Koeman than under Martinez, and this is yet another example.

Players have to be by 11.30 now...

It use to be 12 12:30 wih Moyes

And 1 with the clown who had players mingle with the fans for ages... It wrecks the routine bet the players didn't even have a lunch at goodison with him in charge
