Bilko

Player Valuation: £35m
Just dipped into the Everton Forum and looked at our transfer speculation thread, have to be honest,I don't know 90% of the players getting mentioned in there.Just don't follow international football I guess.
Got me thinking then ,how successful we have been with players we've got in recent times from lower leagues, John Stones as a case in point,Jermaine Beckford was a moderate success,Galloway seems to be coming on strong.

Is there anyone who is playing in our lower Leagues you've seen last season who might make the grade in the Premiership ?.

what little I saw of him, there was a young lad at Birmingham City who looked a bit useful playing in a not so good team,Demarai Gray would be worth a scout.

Trouble is a lot of young players get bigged up as they look good in Championship but are a bit rubbish at a higher level.
You have to ask why Jordon Rhodes hasn't played PL. Why no bids for Wil Hughes of Derby?

Looks like we might have a dib at Sam Byram of Leeds.

Still, there is quality to be had as you allude to with Galloway and that lad who went to Spuds also from MK Dons

My god, it's infected Bilko as well!?

There are loads of players who would be great at this level but they never get the chance to prove it. They arent glamorous enough so they get left to the side.

Pretty sure if they were good enough to improve Premier League teams they would be signed. However, as is the case these days, its because teams from the second and third tiers of England are demanding huge fee's for their players. I wouldn't say its because they're not glamorous enough.

Nearly all signings from below the EPL tend to be players still in their teens these days. Wasn't always the case before the tv money etc.
