Players out on loan 2024/25

Full game for Eli Campbell as Ross County grabbed an equaliser from the spot in added time to draw 1-1 away to Livingston in the 1st leg.

No player ratings in the Ross-Shire Journal but it did reveal that this is County's 3rd successive year of having to play-off to avoid relegation. Good experience I guess for a young player.

Also, I hadn't realised Ross County were based up in the Highlands in a place called Dingwall (I previously only knew that name as the music venue in Camden).

It’s the arse-end of nowhere.

I used to know a couple of lads who didn’t really support any team they just hated Livingstone as they took over the old Meadowbank team in Edinburgh who they used to support in 1995. Kinda like what happened with Wimbledon and MK Dons.

Hopefully Ross County win the replay.

….i think it’s the 2nd leg.

Nasty scenes at the end of last nights game with a Livingstone supporter allegedly spitting at Ross County Assistant Manager, could be an edge to the next game. Yep, here’s hoping for a Ross County victory.

I watched the last 30 mins of Livingston v Ross County last night , right up to that last kick of the match penalty. Eli Campbell was poor, headers going backwards and sideways, passes going astray , he let an attacker skip inside him into the box and was lucky not to give away a penalty . About the only positive thing I could say is that he’s now developed a “ long throw in “ which gets into the box. I’m quite shocked really, he was never going to make the first team but it’s hard to see how far he’s fallen and where he’ll end up next season. 2nd leg is on Monday, a chance for redemption for Eli and County who were 2nd best to Livingston.
We’re heading up that way to Dornoch on Wednesday, shame match wasn’t that night , although I’d have had a job convincing Mrs blueloon to spend a few hours in Dingwall. Their ground is tidy though and very good for their size.

Eli Campbell played full game as Ross County astonishingly let slip a 2-0 lead to lose 2-4 to Livingston and get relegated from the SPL Not Eli’s finest hour and in the last few seconds he was limping and allowed a Livi player to outmuscle him to score the 4th, but it was all over by then
Has played plenty games/minutes up there this season. Despite not doing well in the last couple games, do you think there's enough there for a club to want to buy him for a decent price (few £m), given his age/potential?

He’s coming to the end of his contract so no money for him . Good players at this level may move on from RossCounty for about £300k , that’s about what average League 1 players attract , if they look at the last 11 league games when they lost 8 drew 3 I think he’ll struggle to find a club. He’s worth a punt though .
