The higher your value gets, the more posts you need to step up to the next increment.

That's why you go from free transfer to about £7 million quite rapidly.

This is different from the description you get when you hold the cursor over someone's name (ie. Goodison Legend, Squad Player, or Mark Clattenburg). That's simply based on reputation level, and the two are quite separate.
