Just adding to these ratings with a bit of input to attempt to justify my ratings - I tried editing my post but exceeded the time limit for editing, so here are my justifications.

Pickford 9 - another excellent season from our number one.

Coleman 6.5 - did a job when played, didn't play many games; likely coming to the end of his career.
Patterson 6.5 - out of favour, was alright when played, deputised at left-back in a draw at home to Arsenal.
Young 7.5 - surprisingly decent season. Looked more comfortable in the right-back role compared to previous seasons.
O'Brien 8 - has added height to the team and has shown that he is a composed and versatile defender.
Branthwaite 8.5 - one of our best players and it seems as though he is only going to improve.
Tarkowski 8 - scored the equaliser in the derby. Had one horrendous performance against Bournemouth in the FA Cup, otherwise another good season.
Keane 7 - deputised well on a few occasions, but he was always at risk of making a few costly errors.
Mykolenko 8 - comfortable defender, always managing his winger. Still needs to improve on his attacking output.

Garner 8 - another decent season, if not thrilling. Probably needs to offer more going forward.
Gana Gueye 9 - won the club's player of the season and players' player of the season award. Always dependable and ageing like a fine wine.
Doucouré 7.5 - scored a few goals and worked hard, but often lost possession and his awful first touch was evident for most of the season.
Alcaraz 8 - added some much needed flair during the second half of the season. Looking forward to seeing him hppefully progress next season.
Mangala 7.5 - put in some good performances and scored a nice goal against Wolves. Injured in the away victory at Brighton in January and sadly did not return.
Iroegbunam 7 - has the makings of a reliable defensive midfielder. Needs to improve when in possession, however.
Armstrong 7 - put in a MOTM performance against Peterborough United in the FA Cup before going out on loan to Derby County. Clearly he's a prospect who will probably get more game time next season, but could maybe be a little calmer when out of possession.

McNeil 7.5 - injured for a fair portion of the season, yet played well when available. This probably would have been his best season if he had stayed fit and could do well under Moyes with some attacking freedom. Scored some great goals, especially the one from outside the box against Crystal Palace.
Ndiaye 8.5 - our signing of the season. He has added pace, skill and grit to our attack, with his bags of talent on show throughout the season. We need to build our attack around him.
Harrison 6 - only scored once in the away draw against Wolves. Looked out of place for most of the season and did not offer much going forward.
Lindstrøm 6 - really should have scored at least one goal for us with the chances he had. I felt we played better with him in the team ahead of Harrison as he had more pace, but both ultimately were not good enough.

Broja 2 - injured for large chunks of the season and offered nothing (besides physicality) when playing. Pointless signing at the end of the day.
Chermiti 6 - was unfortunate to suffer a long-term injury at the start of the season and could have been used more by Moyes.
Calvert-Lewin 6.5 - sometimes went missing in games when he was isolated up front - not entirely his fault, you can blame Dyche and his terrible tactics for that.
Beto 8 - benefitted massively from Moyes' appointment, in that we played to his strengths when he was utilised. Set himself up for the remainder of the season with a brace against Leicester, only kicking on from there. Hopefully we keep him in some capacity, as he deserves to be given a chance.

Isn't it strange how people rate Keane on his last two matches, and don't remember the entire season when we were conceding goals for fun when JB was not available.

We were averaging three goals conceded per match which was the main reason we were one point above the relegation zone when Moyes was reinstated?

Yet you give him a six.

He started the first 4/5 matches when we were conceding on average three goals per game.

How quickly we forget (13 goals in 4 games)...

:coffee:

Is there a way we can have an active weekly (each game) rating/poll thing, that we can then tally at the end of the season for a more accurate GOT player rating?

We have the weekly motm rating thing, can it be tallied?

Dunno, just think it would be interesting

My ratings were set against one another, hence why Keane was rated as the worst centre-back. He was poor in home games against Bournemouth and Man City (when he came off the bench for Tarkowksi) but the defeats in question were not entirely Keane's fault. Compared to Branthwaite, Tarkowski and O'Brien he doesn't come out great in the ratings but he put in some good performances towards the end of the season when Moyes came in.

Most of the time with player ratings, they tend to be skewed towards higher ratings as there often is not much to separate players and it can be difficult to compare players to one another when some have not played as many games as others.

Thank You but in my opinion, you put far too much thought in the ratings.

I just went, I dislike him intensely, so a zero, but he did ok towards the end of the season, therefore a 3/10.

Im gona be honest mate i didnt sit here burning the midnight oil smoking 100 ciggys debating it. It was a 30 second thing while eating a cold croissant at work.
I could have just marked Pickford. Obrien. Gueye and an honourable mention to Alcaraz tbh.
I apologise. Keane. You've been knocked down to 4.5.

Think GOT used to do a player of the month on the home page using the MOTM poll to choose the player of the month
