BlueLlama
10/11/17 TWAIN CRUSH DAY
Howard - 5.
Possibly being generous here. Sloppy decision making and positioning have cost us goals, games and points. Has had some sound games too and he is still better than
Joel - 3.
Frankly the lad has looked truly gash. The goal conceded against Krasnodor was one of the worst things I have ever seen. Wants to punch everything but cant punch. The fact that his best game for us involved him letting in 3 speaks volumes.
Coleman - 5
What has happened? Possibly rushed back from injury but he hasnt been getting forward enugh and when he does his decision making has been suspect, dithering over whether he should go past his man or lash the cross in.
Hibbert - 5
Not seen much of him but has been the textbook solid but unspectacular Hibbo when used.
Jagielka - 6
Horrible in the first few games he worked himself back into form and his partnership with Stones was looking good until injuries. Nearly got a 7 just for that goal against the [Poor language removed].
Stones - 7
The cruelest of many injuries. The lad was looking a class act after he was put in alongside Jags. Give the odd shaky moment but oozes class in everything he does.
Distin - 4
The big man has lost it. Age caught up on the lad. Had the odd decent game but is error prone and erratic in possession.
Alcaraz - 4
Injury prone and inconsistent. Looks ace for one game then terrible in 2 or 3.
Baines - 6
Not at his best but decent enough. Lacks a consistent winger ahead of him to play off as Pienaar once did and his corners have become a joke.
Garbutt - 6
Couple of appearance have shown he can be a sound attacking full back but still looks unconvincing defensively. Hopefully he grows and fulfils his potential. sadly it probably wont be with us.
Oviedo - 4
Harsh as he has barely played but has been anonymous on thsie rare occassions. Genuinely worried his injury has goosed him good and proper.
Miralles - 7
Our best attacker by a mile but has still been inconsistent. Plus he is a bad fanny who squeals everytime he gets a knock. The only genuine wideman who defenders fear in the squad he brinsg balance, pace and goals to the team. I am terrified evry time someone tackles him and petrfied he is off in the summer.
McCarthy - 6
Another who was looking good then got injured. Pre-injury he was a class box-to-box midfielder who was plugging some of our defensive leaks. Looked bang average since his comeback hopefully just needs games and confidence.
Barry - 5
Not got near last seasons standard. Rushed back from injury and still doesnt look at the races.
Gibson - 4
Remember him? Used to be boss, now is a tubby crock.
Besic - 7
Got a run of a few games and showed why he stood out at the world cup. Forget the horror of the first touch against Chelsea, ths lad will develop into a class act. Tackles like he plays in the 80s. Boss.
Osman - 5
Now possessing the strength of a 9 year old Ossie terrifies me everytime he gets the ball anywhere near our half. Targetted by the opposition he loses possession far too often. Still capable of hurting then opposition too though.
Pienaar - 3
Quite simply looks finished as a footballer.
Atsu - 2
Quite simply looks awful. If Chelsea recall him would anyone complain?
McGeady - 4
Hit a great goal in the first game, nice pass to seamus in the last game. Very little except giving the ball away in between. Not good enough for us.
Naismith - 7
Done well, scored a few, wins a lot of headers for his size. Awful on the wing as Moyes showed us so havent marked hm down for when he plays gash out wide as the manger should know better.
Barkley - 6
Flashes of brilliance amongst a lot of meh. Like Naisy has been sacrificed on the wing. would like to see more of him deeper in centre midfield.
Etoo - 5
Awful in the last month. Was looking good as a sub or as a striker. Starting games he has faded and his passing is not good enough for the attacking midfielders role. Still produces moments of class in every game with his hold up and link play.
Lukaku - 6
The lad is a class act but being badly misused. PLay the ball in front of him and get him in the box. Still taking his chances but lacking service. Has frustrated with his heavy touches.
Kone - 5
Deserved his goal for working so hard to get hback to fitness but still got a lot to do to convince me he is good enough to play for us.
