Player Valuation: Free Transfer
i dont know if this subject already been in discussion i am new to site from glasgow .(Celtic/everton ) while watching game in pub last night amongst other celtic support a heated discussion went on post match about pedro (donkey-face) mendes right to play for 2 teams in uefa run tournies in same season, it is fact he played for that mob (other glasgow team cant say it chokes me )in at least 1 game Vs stutgart in champions league, i have looked up rules on uefa but am not any clearer as im not a proffessor in gobbledy-gook . can any of u guys out there shed any light in straight forward english. thanks

If Rangers had finished third in their group and dropped into the Europa he'd have been inelligible (in the same way that Atletico dropping put Heitinga out for us).

Because they finished fourth he was OK.

God I would hate to be a Celtic supporter right now. I've seen you quite a few times and you are truly shocking. Add to that, that rangers will win the league at a canter this year.
The Scottish league is one of the worst in Europe these days too. Even the scandanavian leagues are better.

Welcome to the forum anyway (y)

I thought it was if he played in Europa that he would've been ineligible. In other words, I was under the impression that even if Rangers finished third & he hadn't played in Europa prior to the transfer he would've been eligible to play for Sporting.

i agree wi most of wat u r saying but as bad as we r under our caretaker manager (hopefully).i will never use the words hate along wi my team , we are worse than shocking, other mob r slightly better.but as long as there is a lack of cash in our game i believe it will never change unless we can get out to wherever.it prob annoys most supp in england hearing us harp on about getting in but dont blame us for trying to get into the best league in world which is on our doorstep, that aside even the doomed atlantic league wud av done. a team who gets prom from c/ship 2 epl then relegated gets more cash for that 1 season than we do for doing our domestic treble 5 times in a row. both glasgow teams have have exhausted most revenue outlets over the last 5-10 yrs so need outside cash coming in , which will not happen as long as we stay where we are.so we have get on with wat we got which aint much. thx for welcome
