If I were Duffy I'd have watched the last couple of games and thought: 'If I can't get in the team ahead of Johnny I must be rubbish!'

I would probably drop Heitinga for Duffy at this point too but don't forget Distin was supposed to be starting ahead of them both until the warm-up. Can't blame Moyes for expecting an experienced international to respond to playing away to Man United at such short notice better than a lad with little senior experience.

Moyes knows what he's doing. John Ruddy is the closest thing to a one-that-got-away in 10 years.

If you've not seen him play, you can't make a judgement as to how good he is, & if he's currently capable of making the step up to the PL.

I've seen enough of this lad to know that he's not going to be warming the bench for long, he'll make it into the 1st team sooner rather than later imo.
