Play Drenthe up top

Fast, direct, runs at players, great strike, can finish, bags of energy, defensive liability......play him up front. Our other options are pathetic:

Saha - quality but disinterested, unhappy with Moyes, disillusioned, hates being the lone furrow up top, looking for one last pay day (china anyone?)

Cahill - Game over, too many years of putting his body on the line in games and on planes, 32 for Tim is 36 for most. legend but done. Oh yes, not a striker either.

Vellios - best off bench for now, raw.

Mceleny - As above, shows quality, but feels a bit like the branch/cadamarteri/Barlow days (rather than Rooney days) when he comes on

Anichebe - crap and injured

Landon - well it might work in tandem with Saha, but many feel he is a better midfielder, I am sure he will get his chance up top. Hope he takes it.

yer play him up top me might get a lot of goals u never know !!!

f that if we took him out of our already laboured midfield its game over (i suppose it would match DM pre match defeatism) ...i know we aint scoring goals at the mo but i dont think hes our anwser hes full of energy and sometimes he can boil over if he were to play up front on the service we giv our strikers that energy has to come out somewhere and the colour red springs to mind

looks v effective on rw. the problem moyes had was that coleman cant play left so he keeps moving drenthe to left. leave drenthe right side, gueye/donovan on left and the other one in centre behind a striker. someone who pushes can win a header / hold up to send the pacey ones like don and drenthe through.

i would be ok with Saha leaving if the price would be pretty much ok.
he looks like a orphan out there. sad but true. he could light up again with a good mate up front, though
