Platini suggests sin bin for yellow cards

Just another way to give the big boys an advantage, refs would be too scared to book a utd/chelsea etc. Player if it was 0-0 against say us in the last 10 minutes of the match but would have no problem doing it to one of ours/Southampton/Newcastle etc.

Also imagine playing against young or suarez or half the barca/arsenal side you would have no ****er left on the field

I've been frustrated forever watching refs wave yellows for what, imo are just ordinary fouls.

If players are going to be sent off for 10 or 15 minutes in those circumstances it would make the game farcical.

I mean, where would you draw the line and how would you get any consistency?

No, it's bad enough now with match results being influenced by poor red card decisions ie Rodwell.

This really. If there was video technology it might work, as it is it would just allow refs to ruin games more often.

This would work out quite terribly. The refs would be afraid to send players off for 10 minutes, the players would realize this after a match or two and you'd see even more fouling.

There's nothing wrong with the way it's currently done, except for the inconsistency of the referee, which this mockery of a suggestion doesn't address.

I suggest that corrupt frog [Poor language removed] banned from anything that has anything to do with football.

It works well in rugby and would have worked 30 years ago in football, but not today. It's bad enough the like of Suarez playacting to get someone a yellow who then had to be careful, but if there was a further incentive such as a 10 min sin bin then the cheating would go bleeding crazy.......
