Last PM lifted the restrictions in 2013 - beware it's a nightmare when a neighbour decides to build a large extension only 1 metre from your border fence!
I don't live in a castle with a keep around it just a mansion with a 20 foot x 17 feet high extension proposal going up!If your neighbour has an unhealthy fixation with crap keepers then the objections are legit. Sorry mate

The planning laws are an ass!
Any ideas on how to protest as I have a fixation with it,!
I sounds like it's too big to build without planning permission https://ecab.planningportal.co.uk/uploads/miniguides/extensions/Extensions.pdfI don't live in a castle with a keep around it just a mansion with a 20 foot x 17 feet high extension proposal going up!

I'm due to move into a new house but am reluctant to complete on the sale as the lunatic next door insists I knock my garage down just to keep him happy. He even had the cheek to suggest that I have some work done to the roof if I insist on keeping MY garage up. Tit.
You're probably going to be thankful for that wall eventually, believe me. I've had real trouble with neighbours in the past, and I'd have loved to have the majority of my garden separated from theirs by a big wall.Im disputing currently with a neighbor.
We have semi detached garages. shared party wall. They bought and agreed with me about demolishing both as they were unsightly and had asbestos roofs.
Now im near taking mine down but hes decided to keep his which leaves me facing a 9 foot high wall about 8m long running down the side of my house and garden. Iv asked him to consider making it a pitched roof but hes a total idiot and says his builder says its the cheaper option to keep it as is.
Its going to kick off now tbh. They've not even moved in yet.

Aye, probably right. Particularly when we want to do the loft conversion and build an extension..You're probably going to be thankful for that wall eventually, believe me. Thanks Bungle but that's for permitted planning permission those guides if you have the land e.g. Big garden or front they add it all together we got ten objections in the area it's mad the owner is building a 100k extension using a loft as alleged storage a side extension on the boundary as storage and a wash room - the council say it's in planning permission as DC changed and relaxed the rules in 2013!I'm due to move into a new house but am reluctant to complete on the sale as the lunatic next door insists I knock my garage down just to keep him happy. Photoinia red robin is a great 15 metre low maintenance hedge on eBayOnly one thing for it plant a fast growing massive tree hedge. Hopefully it will undermine his garage and house just at the point you move out.
