Just knocked down my garage and having a larger office/room where the kids first take drugs, drink, have first bit o girly/boy action etc room built in it's place. The slab it is on is tired and cracked so am going to put another 2 inch or so of re-enforced concrete on top. This will now mean the new building which is already manufactured will sit 2 inches or so over the original ground level including it's actual height.... I mean,it is designed to be compliant with planning regs but will now be 2 inches over .... is this OK?

Thanks

Awaits 10 duff answers for every 1 good answer (assuming I get 11 answers that is).

What happened to keeping boys away from your little girl mate?

just do it mate...the likelihood of anyone complaining/planning enforcing on it is virtually zero

scare any male away from her as she grows up ;)

she will soon get the message

I'm quite liberal, she will do what she wants when she is ready. Don't get this "have a word in his ear" stuff, we have all been there.

My wife on the other hand.....

Mate, my neighbours are literal snides. My throwing millions of false widow spiders that were in the old garage over their fence probs won't helps matters either.

AAH, if your niehgbours are dicks then that changes things...

Can't you take 2 inches off the old slab. I think you can hire those jack hammers or whatever they're called. Wouldn't take long with one of them and it'll save wondering if the planners will knock at your door to make sure it's correct.

You could always leave it 2 inches higher though and pretend it's a feature.

Buy a dodgy measuring tape on eBay and cut 2 ins out of the middle
Then when neighbours complain say
Look it complies.
No one will notice 2 ins extra on an erection
Wait that doesn't sound right

Yeh, thought about this but it's quite big and I presume some sort of concrete plane would be needed.
