Places you've been on holiday

With the summer now with us and people will be going on holiday I was wondering whats the best place people have been to on holiday?

My favourite place was Singapore, cracking place, lovely people, great sights and top food. Also it was proper hot as well.
 

Don't go on holiday often but the other year i went to Bodrum, Turkey and its a nice place. Hot weather and nice beaches. Not fond of the food though, couldn't even get myself a full English! aha

I went to Egypt a few years ago mate and its just the same there, food was crap. Not being racist either but not fond of the Arabs either, they're all after your money
 
Love Italy these days, but anywhere in Europe in Summer Hols is out of my price range/ capability.

I was on STA Travel last night & tbh the 5 of us could go to Vietnam or India cheaper than we could in a Caravan anywhere in Europe, and thats including if it were a caravan of our own i.e. tourer or even tent.

£450 each to Ho Chi Min btw.

Are those Student Cards still available from places with minimal I.D. ?

those flights were for anyone btw
 
Best place was New York City, would love to live there but getting a visa would be a nightmare I think.

Apart from that I very much enjoyed Massachussetts, and Toronto is a nice place too, as is Washington DC.

Nearer to home I'd recommend Budapest for a few days, and Basel/Zurich in Switzerland are very beautiful.
 

Kuala Lumpur is just brilliant. I was out there working for 6 months a few years ago. Weather is brilliant, food is great thanks to the mix of Indian, Chinese & Malay ethnicity in the population. There are also a fair number of US, Aussie & European ex-pats. Food & drink is cheap as are taxis in the city.
One word of advice, when you arrive at the airport get a taxi through the official office & pay for it up front. If you just pick one up outside the airport they'll charge you several times the going rate & it's a pretty long drive into the city.
 

Had to come into this thread - just got back from the Dominican and have got massive post-holiday blues

As good a holiday as this was, my best holiday has to be Mexico - great people, food, ale, beaches, everything

Favourite place was without doubt Seattle. Not your normal holiday destination, went as part of an exchange project thing, was absolutely unbelievable. Best week of my life. It's not a place even noted for it's tourism, but just living like a yank and getting a taste of their culture was enough for me. Will definitely be back.

Always really enjoyed Berlin and Amsterdam. Went there with a couple of mates last summer, was, as you would expect, trippy. Nah, the Germans are lovely people and the birds there have the best legs i've ever seen. Amsterdam is a great place, a little sleazy at night, but you expect that.

Also been too; Ibiza, Turkey, Bulgaria, Sevilla, Rennes, Vienna, Cyprus, New York (for 1 day between flights) amongst other places I went with my family, when I was younger.

I'm only 17 as well but I'm really lucky as I go most years with either my nan and grandad or my parents

Love to go amsterdam or Ibiza when Im 18 with the lads . New York and miami looks boss. I recommend cancun or Clearwater there right good places some fine ass birds about the beaches are unreal and generally just getting leathered . Defo want to go back
