Over expanded I guess.

Pizzas are such a profitable source of income.

Pizzas can cost pennies and be sold for like £15.

Who would have thought that offering 100000 vouchers wouldn't work in the long term. Can't make a business from £7 660ml bottles of Peroni

Don't think i've ever stepped foot in one of them dreadful establishments, did yeezy fam crew move from there to Nandos?

Too much competition I'm guessing. I would have expected to see some kind of acquisition/merger activity in the high-street pizza market like @Connor alluded to. But hey-ho, absolutely none of it.

Bella Italia, Pizza Express, Pizza Hut, Ask, Zizzi - the list goes on... CEO's of these companies need to have a word with themselves - it's simply not sustainable, when you've also got Domino's, Papa Johns and £10 meal deals from the supermarkets.

Their food was always decent as far as mainstream pizza restaurants go but a lot of it was also stupidly overpriced, especially all the non pizza stuff. Think it was like £12 for a chicken Caesar salad and £15 for a lasagne last time I went there.

I never really considered them to be in competition with dominos and papa johns as they are delivery based companies... I’d have thought their main competition was Zizzi, Ask etc

Been around/popular a lot longer than Nandos I think, and if you've never stepped foot inside one, how do you know they're dreadful? Seen Josh Widdicombe in my local one a few years ago. If it's good enough for him it's more than good enough for you! :p
