Player Valuation: £40m
Jo reminds me of Inzaghi. The lazy, lurking, opportunist with limited skills and spent 90 mins trying to play at the edge of offside trap.
I've notice we've play a lot of thru balls down the middle towards Jo in recent matches. Not sure it'll work on Jo but it's certainly nice to watch.

Completely different players, Jo is the complete opposite to be honest.

Jo, on his day, links with the midfield excellently and gets involved in play. He not a natural poacher at all, he'll never be a goalscorer.

And Jo isn't lazy, he runs more than both Yakubu and Saha. He's just nowhere near as good.

Inzaghs was amazing. Quite possibly the best goalhanger of all time. Making a career of playing like a 10 year old on the playground is very impressive.

Fair comment from everyone. I agree Inzaghi is a better finisher but Jo is a poacher too. The 2 disallow goal against the scums shows what he's capable of.
I'm just surprise we had a change in our approach and it seems like we're trying to play in a way that would see Jo thrive. That is thru the middle as Jo loves to wander at the edge of offside and he'll get it right sooner or later.
It's certainly different from our usual flank, hoof approach.

It must be said that the lad is still only young and hes being asked to do a job hes doesnt normally do, i.e lone striker. So we shouldnt really demand too much from him. At the end of the day, if he comes good, great, we can pay the money and hes ours, if he doesnt improve we send him back at the end of the season. Its only costing us a few k.

Right on the money that.
