In theory, they can't make you.

In practice, you'll probably not last long with most companies. Our lot have said they'll fully stand by anyone who refuses to fly on a 225.

I really don't know for certain though mate. What I do know is, I'll never fly on one again. No way.

Put yourself first here, mate.

I wouldn't fly in one.

BBC saying the four dead have been named. Terrible.
 

Almost to the minute, 25 years ago, the fateful decision was made to switch on a condensate pump that was offline for maintenance, starting a chain of events that led to the worst ever oilfield disaster in which 167 men lost their lives.

A sad day for anyone in the industry but thankfully lessons have been learnt from the disaster and the North Sea installations are safer now than ever before.

RIP the 167.

I had 2 friends who died on Piper Alpha Jock, including 1 who played for the same Amateur team as me. Hard to believe that it's 25 years already.
