The irony of that is that the mighty Floyd curdled one of the songs of Meddle with around two minutes of You'll Never Walk Alone, direct from Anfield.
Yep, and I've never listened to that song in full. It was always a swift FF on the Walkman or midi system when that dirge kicked-in.

Seamus was also a load of old tosh, but One of These Days and Echoes are so good they rescue the album overall.

I did a re-edit and chopped the last bit off, fading out before the chants start. But the problem is the chants make an appearance in the first two verses too. So given up on that song completely now.

Shame on you, Roger!

Agree with that!

Check out Atom Heart Mother, perfect album.

Greatest band ever. Clint Planet is an utter cad.

Floyd is pretty much the archetype of "hit-and-miss"-music, either you love it or you hate it... ( ... or you just don't care, which renders you an asshole).

Personally i don't really get moved when people aren't into prog, it's pretty much an acquired taste. However i feel bad for people not knowing the amount of beautiful music being made, and not being played in the radio or wherever.
